Community Highlights
✨ Tech, Talks & Togetherness – Annual Iftar Highlights from Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane
This Ramadan, we had the pleasure of hosting not one, not two, but three incredible Annual Iftars! In Sydney (12th March) in collaboration with UTSMS, Melbourne (14th March) at Docklands, and Brisbane (21st March) at Mi Casa Café.
What a blessing it was to gather with our growing Muslims in Tech community across three cities, united by faith and our shared passion for tech.

In Sydney, our keynote speaker Houda Chehab delivered an inspiring talk on navigating your tech career, whether you’re aiming for promotions, a great team, higher salaries, or meaningful work.

In Melbourne, we reflected on some of Muslims in Tech's biggest milestones so far and shared our vision for the future. It was heartwarming to see familiar faces and to welcome many new ones into our community.

In Brisbane, the night brought together a vibrant local community for an intimate evening of connection, reflection, and inspiration.
Across all three cities, the iftars were filled with smiles, meaningful conversations, delicious food, and plenty of networking (and hopefully new friendships too!).
None of this would have been possible without the generous support of our sponsor, Human Appeal. As a gesture of gratitude and solidarity, we're also supporting their emergency relief campaign for Gaza. You can contribute here: Donation link
JazakAllah Khayr to everyone who joined us and made both nights truly special. Inshallah, we’ll see you at the next event!
Tick Tock, Tech Talk
Google DeepMind’s Gemini 2.5 Pro marks a major leap in AI by reasoning through problems before responding. It leads benchmarks in math, science, and coding without costly test-time methods, while maintaining strong multimodal abilities and expanding its context window to 2 million tokens.
DeepSeek has launched its latest model, V3-0324, under the MIT License. This new version delivers significant performance enhancements and surpasses GPT-4.5 across most benchmark tests.
Anthropic has added web browsing to Claude, enabling it to search the internet in real time. This new feature allows Claude to provide more current and accurate answers by pulling in up-to-date information during chats.
