>Wonderous Workshop
The MiTxMUMSA event held in Sydney on 11th May 2023 was a resounding success, bustling with a diverse mix of tech professionals, students, and enthusiasts. The event sparked great conversations around technology, with special emphasis on cybersecurity, highlighting the contributions and achievements of Muslim professionals in the field. The vibrant atmosphere helped facilitate a night of networking, learning, and exchanging ideas in a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.
Keynote speakers, Ahmed Khanji, CEO of Gridware, and Mohamed Omran, a risk analysis and cyber strategy expert, delivered enlightening talks that were both inspiring and informative. Attendees particularly praised Khanji's candid insights into running a cybersecurity consultancy and Omran's deep dive into risk analysis, which provided invaluable guidance to aspiring tech professionals.
In addition, this event positively impacted the broader community, creating a greater understanding of the contributions made by Muslims in the tech industry. The networking that took place fostered a sense of belonging among the participants and facilitated potential collaborations and opportunities.






Tick Tock, Tech Talk
The capabilities of ChatGPT plugins have been expanded to include support for Postgres and Supabase. This enhancement allows developers to leverage ChatGPT in the development of chatbots that can retrieve data from a Postgres database.
Adobe announced that it will incorporate generative artificial intelligence into its widely-used Photoshop editing software. This integration aims to make the application more user-friendly for individuals without extensive training.
Meta AI has suggested a novel AI model structure, named Megabyte, capable of producing over a million tokens in various formats. Megabyte tackles scalability problems in existing models by performing computations simultaneously, thereby enhancing efficiency and surpassing the performance of Transformers.
